I was given the name Grace Amanda Pinkerton, but everyone calls me Amanda.   I am a native of TN.  After working many years in the factory industry, I finally found my true career.  I was asked to help out my niece for a few days with her daycare.  It was then that I fell in love with the idea of spending all day with children.  I have one grown daughter, three grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.  I wished they would stay little forever.  Working at Rhythm and Rhymes lets me be around these sweet little ones all day!  For the last fifteen years, I have cared for my eldest brother who suffers from schizophrenia.   While this has been very hard sometimes to deal with, it has taught me me the real meaning of patience and unconditional love.

My first day at Rhythm & Rhymes was the day the doors first opened for business. I look forward to many more years here.
